I know I know!! Taking a hot bath to cool yourself down really may not make any sense right now.. but its true!
Our bodies over heat A LOT during the summer weather and it is important that you take the time to cool things down from inside out (not to mention the amazing health benefits). Your body functions at top notch when its happy inside, and your immune system is the strongest when you feel the best. NOW.... to start this bath set up the tub with Luke warm water, and get the following: - mint tea (to drink) or mint infused water - 6 drops of mint essential oils (reduces stress, improves circulation, cooling effect, relieves headaches) - 300g of Dead Sea salt (Detox of course) - you can even decorate your bath on top using fresh mint leaves (aesthetics) - coconut milk (fresh or powder) about 1 cup (for skin nourishing, and any skin irritations or inflammation) Mix it all up and dive right in!! Stay in the bath for as long as you need, light a candle and just say a nice mantra to yourself - like "I allow myself to indulge in as much time as I need to get to full peace and relaxation while my body cools down".

There are so many benefits in choosing natural products. There are many toxins in regular beauty products to keep them shelf stable longer. Some chemicals that they add are so toxic that it can lead to diseases. I am not scaring you.. I am just telling you the facts... What if I told you that you can make your own?.. Would you do it? All natural with all the good stuff and I have been making it for a long time!! My kids use it too and you can custom make it to any smell you want and it works! It lasts up to 3 months fresh and it actually helps your skin without any harsh chemicals.
Here's what you need: In a glass jar or container melt together 1/2 Cup Bees Wax and 1/2 Cup of Coconut Butter, and 2 Tablespoons of Cocoa Butter. Once its all melted take it off the double boiler and add: 1 1/2 Table Spoons of Arrowroot Powder 1 1/2 Table Spoons of Baking Soda (without Aluminum) Mix the powders into the oils and add 15 drops of Tea Tree oil, 15 drops of Lavender. Let it all cool and enjoy! As a mom, wife, partner we tend to forget about self care. If we were put on an organization chart we would be on the bottom of it near the couriers. Not to say that couriers are a bad industry to be in but that is usually the last person to exit if working for a company to move to another task. Couriers are totally essential but as a mom – you do that too. Move things or people around. Lets get to the point though – we get tired, and cranky, and sometimes malnourished, with hair shedding and no form of dry shampoo is going to make you satisfied at this point. The more you love yourself the more other people around you are going to get loved. Self care is one of those overused terms I find nowadays – especially during this pandemic I feel like people are just over using it but not bringing enough meaning into it. Self Love is how I look at it. The more you love yourself the more you will be loved as my mom used to say. Its true in many aspects. Really feel that statement. No one can be a continuous train that plummets down its rails, even trains derail if not taken care of so here is my list of “Hacks” that I myself use to make time for self care.
In the end it all comes down to you. How you feel and how you behave towards yourself will be a reflection on other people of how they perceive you. Now you know how to make it.. if you do want to take it further than that and add color to it.. there are so many other ways with using makeup powder and tints but that could be a whole new post.
